WHO KNEW Community Climate Connections (C3) Produced Over 40 WHO KNEWs in 2024?

Community Climate Connections (C3) is a group of Hanover residents who care deeply about the natural environment, recycling, sustainability, and mitigating the effects of climate change. Our mission is to find ways in which all of us can make a positive difference regarding these issues in our daily lives and in our local communities. We brainstorm; we research; we communicate.

This year, our posts on the Hanover listserv (and on the Sustainable Hanover website: sustainablehanovernh.org/whoknew) covered topics ranging from recycling, to gardening, to EVs, to earth-friendly habits, to household environmental tips, to energy issues, to local sustainability news, and even ways to keep motivated! We posted timely updates and notices about upcoming events and programs, like Styrofoam collections, Window inserts, and the e-bike mobile library.

Small decisions can have big impacts. Buying less plastic; recycling clothing and other items; native gardening and habitat protection (reducing your lawn; leaving those leaves where they fall!); driving less, biking/walking more; installing heat pumps; opting up at Hanover Community Power; the list goes on…
