WHO KNEW Colorful Christmas Lights Could Be So Green?
We will need to replace our Christmas tree lights for next Christmas. Now is the time to save on them.. After an investigation of incandescent versus LED mini light strings, I found that LED lights were the way to go. Up front they are more expensive, but in the long run they save you money.
Led lights consume 80-90% less energy than incandescent lights earning LEDs the Energy Start certification. They remain cool to the touch. Unlike incandescent bulbs, LEDs have no filament to burnout. LEDs can light up for 100,000 hours versus 3000 hours for incandescent bulbs. And for convenience you can string many more sets of LEDs together end to end without blowing a fuse!
This year I plan to do so with LED lights. They are better for the environment and will save you money. I may even be able to find some on sale now!
