WHO KNEW There Is a Styrofoam Recycling Event Oct. 4th?

WHEN: Saturday, Oct. 4, 9 - 11 AM (rain or shine)

WHERE: Mascoma Bank parking lot, 243 Sykes Mountain Ave, WRJ, VT

WHO: Open to ALL RESIDENTS of the Upper Valley in VT & NH

WHAT CAN be recycled:

–Styrofoam (#6) -- but do NOT break into very small pieces

–Clean #6 food, drink, and egg containers (no oil or food residue)

–Remove tape and labels

WHAT CANNOT be recycled:

–NO packing peanuts

–NO foam insulation boards

–NO pipe insulation

–If you can bend it, it is NOT Styrofoam

NOTE: If you’re putting Styrofoam in your recycling bin in VT or NH, it’s going to the landfill. Styrofoam recycling needs a specialized facility. We will transport the foam to Gilford, NH’s recycling center.
