WHO NEW that the Annual Hanover/Dartmouth College Community Yard Sale Will Take Place This Year on Saturday, August 30?

This will be our 14th year and will follow the same format as previous years. The sale takes place in the Dewey Parking lot at Dartmouth.

Registration will begin on August 1 and will continue until all 122 spaces are full. For $25 you can โ€˜rentโ€™ 2 back to back parking lot spaces so you have room for a vehicle and a space for selling your stuff. A great opportunity for a fundraiser.

The Sale is a joint effort of Sustainable Hanover and the Office of Sustainability at Dartmouth with the aim of keeping usable items out of the trash. Over the years thousands of people have participated both as sellers and buyers. What do you have that could find a new home? You have the rest of the summer to check your storage spots; attics, barns, basements and closets. If you are downsizing, this is a perfect opportunity to see your excess stuff go to a good home.

Best sellers are household goods, tools, linens, childrenโ€™s items, winter and sports clothing, plus equipment, small furniture, books, puzzles, toys and so much more.

The registration form will be available on August 1. Find it at the Sustainable Hanover website, sustainablehanovernh.org under events.

In the meantime, if you would like to help or have questions, email sustainablehanover@gmail.com
