WHO KNEW That There Are Plenty of Public Electrical (EV) Chargers in the Local Upper Valley?

These include both level 2 chargers which provide 15-25 miles per hour of charging and level 3 DC fast chargers that can give you an 80% charge in 20-45 minutes. While most EV charging is done at home, public chargers can help especially for people with only level 1 charging (a 120 volt outlet) at home.

In downtown Hanover, there are four plugs in the municipal parking garage. They are on level 2A of the garage and are level 2 chargers. So, if you are in town for a couple of hours, you can top up your battery while you shop, see a concert, or go to a meeting. There are also level 2 chargers in the parking garage at DHMC, Dan and Whit’s, King Arthur in Norwich, Alice Peck Day hospital, and in the public parking lot in White River Junction.

And if you need a full charge quickly, there are DC fast chargers on Rt 12a in West Lebanon. Tesla just doubled the number of Tesla chargers next to Price Chopper and there are four ports for non-Tesla EV’s in front of Walmart. There are also DC fast chargers near the I-91 Interchange in White River Junction. Plus, there will be many more coming from the VW settlement money and the bi-partisan Infrastructure bill. So, charging an EV away from home is becoming easier and easier.
