The Town of Hanover sponsors 3 centrally located EV charging posts; two in the town parking garage (same level as the Lebanon Street entrance), and one in the Marshall Lot (on Maple Street, just west of the Ledyard Wealth Management building). All are J1772 “level 2” chargers, and are connected with ChargePoint, with which you would need to have an account in order to pay for the power used during your charging session. In addition, there is a $2.00/hour parking fee in either location, and Chargepoint assesses a $0.25 “service fee”. Four vehicles can be charged simultaneously in the parking garage, and two in the Marshall Lot. Parking in the slots is reserved for vehicles that are actively being charged.
In order to provide this convenience to EV drivers in Hanover, the Town pays ChargePoint $140-$150 per month.
