WHO KNEW You Can Recycle and Help Out Craft Brewers Too?

You know those snap on plastic carriers for craft beer four pacs that you worry may not actually be recyclable? Lots of recyclers do in fact reject them, but there’s an effort called the Vermont Can Carrier Reuse program to get them back into the hands of small brewers. A bunch of upper Valley retailers including Dan and Whit’s, the White River Junction COOP, Brownsville Butcher & Pantry, Huggett’s, the Woodstock Farmers Market and Woodstock’s Village butcher are now taking them back. Unfortunately since this is a Vermont initiative the COOPs in NH are not recycling them. At Dan and Whit’s there is a box in the paint room to collect them and at the WRJ COOP, there is a bin by the beer department. Thanks, Vermont!
