Who Knew the Next Styrofoam Recycling Event in the Upper Valley Is October 3rd?

HARTFORD STYROFOAM RECYCLING ♻️ COLLECTION: Open to all residents of the Upper Valley in VT & NH. No businesses, please. This event is hosted by the Town of Hartford, with support from Mascoma Bank and Casella.

WHEN: Oct. 3, 9 - 11 am

WHERE: Mascoma Bank parking lot, 243 Sykes Mountain Ave, WRJ, VT

RAIN DATE: Oct. 17, 9 - 11 am

WHAT CAN be recycled with us:

–Styrofoam (#6) -- but do NOT break into very small pieces

–Clean #6 food, drink, and egg containers (no oil or food residue)

–Remove tape and labels

WHAT CANNOT be recycled with us:

–NO packing peanuts

–NO foam insulation boards

–NO pipe insulation

–If you can bend it, it is NOT Styrofoam

NOTE: If you’re putting Styrofoam in your recycling bin in VT or NH, it’s going to the landfill. Styrofoam recycling needs a specialized facility. We will transport the foam to Gilford, NH’s recycling center.
