WHO KNEW EV Charging on the Road is Becoming Much Easier?

There are 60 DC fast charger stations in New Hampshire, according to the map at Plug Share. DC fast chargers are the ones you need for long trips, where you can charge in 15-30 minutes. These chargers include 16 Tesla chargers, eight of which can also be used by Fords and Rivians and, by the end of the year, other cars as well. Plus there are 15 chargers along the I-91 corridor in VT. Our surrounding states all have been quicker than NH to install chargers. So, it still takes a little planning, but you can now go anywhere in New England in an EV.

We expect more chargers soon. There are 19 fast chargers under construction in New Hampshire. Lebanon hopes to get a grant to install three fast charger stations within the city. This is only the second round of funding from one government program supported by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill and the Inflation Reduction Act. There are other programs, too.

So, if concern about running out of electricity is keeping you from considering an EV, the likelihood of doing so is rapidly declining.
