IMPORTANT, READ BELOW - What Sellers Need to Know:
Event will be held rain or shine. Pop-up tents are allowed (no stakes) and are useful to protect from sun and rain.
Spaces will be allotted on a first come first served basis. We have ~124 spaces for sellers to rent. Sellers may request 1 or 2 spaces ($25 each).. Spaces come with a second free space for a vehicle(s).
To make this event possible, all registration fees are non-refundable.
Please note: no commercial vendors are allowed.
Site opens for set-up at 8:00 AM. NO SALES before 10:00 AM. Follow the signs as we will have a one-way
system for entry and exit. You will be notified ahead of time of your sale site, please bring that
information with you. Volunteers will be on hand to direct you to your site.
After the sale you are responsible for removing ALL unsold items and ALL trash. Volunteers will check your site prior to your departure. We provide no trash barrels on site. All trash must be taken home with you!
You are responsible for pricing, selling and making change for your own items.
What sells well: Clothing, equipment and toys for infants and young children, sports gear, exercise and winter wear, household goods, kitchen items, tools, craft supplies, small furniture items that can be carried (large items present a challenge to transport and are sellers responsibility). All items should be in good working condition. There is no electricity on site for testing.
What should you bring: tables to display your wares, chair, water, snack, sunscreen, a helper so you can take a break.
Portable toilets will be available on site including one handicapped toilet.
The annual Hanover Community Yard Sale is sponsored by the Sustainable Hanover Recycling/Waste Reduction Team and the Sustainability Department of Dartmouth College to keep good, usable “stuff” in circulation and out of the landfill.
