A Community Build in the spirit of an old fashioned barn-raising! Volunteers and customer-participants team up to assemble attractive custom-built interior storm windows to lower fuel bills and increase comfort and warmth in the winter. Inserts are manufactured to order by the Maine-based non-profit Window Dressers.

This Windows Inserts program is sponsored by Sustainable Hanover, the Lyme Energy Committee, and the Norwich Energy Committee for residents who live or work in our towns. We are near fully booked for inserts to be built September 25 to October 1. Inserts are offered based on ability to pay for households that have received fuel assistance or other services from the Haven, LISTEN, COVER or their community’s Welfare Office.
